Лекс Ван Сомерен родился в Амстердаме в 1952 году. Уже в детстве он дебютировал в театре. Когда ему было восемь лет, его учителем стал величайший артист и комик Голландии Тоон Херманс.

В 1975 году Лекс получил диплом в области физического образования и начал изучать тайцзицюань, древние священные традиции танца и пантомимы, а также изучал возможности голоса в театре Роя Харта во Франции. Он выступал везде, от крупнейших театров Европы до частных мероприятий, от гала-концертов до церквей. Он пел и танцевал в Индии, выступал в Лиллехаммере во время Зимних Олимпийских Игр, несколько раз показывал свое шоу на Пикадилли в Лондоне.
В большинстве его композиций нет внятного текста, так он передает ограниченность речи. Он поет, используя только мелодические слоги, которые избавляют аудиторию от отвлечений ума и помогают ей слушать сердцем. Лекс называет это творческое выражение подвижного духа «языком его души».

Leinbach provides synthesizers, harmonium, tamboura, acoustic guitar, vocal “oohs”, bells and chimes, and sound effects. The result of all this talent is blissful.
